Abstract:"Antibiotics-free" breeding is an important way of green breeding. The use of antibiotic substitutes makes for the realization of "antibiotics-free" breeding. Potassium diformate is one of the hotspots of antibiotic substitution research in recent years. The pig is one of the important economic animals that affect the national economy and people's livelihood. Potassium diformate has many benefits for pig production. In this paper, the physicochemical properties, safety, mechanism of action and application of potassium diformate as antibiotic substitutes with the way of feed additives in pig industry were summarized, which could provide some help for pig production in practice.
