Abstract:Guanghui 305, developed by crossing Huazhan as the female parent with the breeding material R710/R501 through years of pedigree selection, resistance identification and heterosis evaluation, is an indica rice restorer line. It has the advantages of fine grain quality, strong blast resistance, wide restoring spectrum, smooth discoloring in the maturing stage and strong heterosis. The hybrid combinations derived from it such as Wuyou 305, Yueliangyou 305, Taiyou 305, and Guang 8 You 305 and Guangheyou 305, registered and released for commercial production by provincial or national crop variety appraisal committees, perform well in high yield, good disease resistance, fine grain quality, wide adaptability and smooth discoloring in the maturing stage, etc., showing a promising prospective application.
