Abstract: | A versatile controller system has been developed that is essential for the automation of textile machinery such as a loom or a braiding machine. Sensors and actuators needed for the automation of general textile machinery were determined and the electronic circuitry for the communication between them and the controller were designed. A dedicated software has been developed that can input and output numerous signals using a simple action-list type user interface. With this interface, any kind of sequential processes can be controlled easily by modifying the list without changing the software or hardware of the controller system. |
