永安桉树发展中的品种选用策略

福建省永安市冬季较为寒冷,本不是发展桉树的理想地区。永安市在桉树短周期用材林基地工程建设中,根据自己的发展目标和地理、气候特点,应用研究的成果,在低海拔地区应用尾巨桉、巨尾桉等速生但耐寒能力偏低的品种,在高海拔地区采用邓恩桉、柳桉等耐寒但较速生性稍差的品种,以充分利用桉树的速生性能;并制定预防寒害的培育措施,研究新品种,以降低寒害的威胁。

The Variety Utilizing Strategy in Yong'an's Eucalypt Development

The winter in Yong'an city of Fujian province is too cold to be an ideal place for eucalypt.In building the short-rotation eucalypt commercial plantation base,Yong'an used research achievements according to their own development objectives,geographical and climate features:planting varieties such as hybrid clones of Eucalyptus urophylla and E.grandis that grow fast but are not very cold-tolerant in lower elevation areas;planting species such as E.dunnii and E.saligna that have good cold tolerance but do not grow very fast in higher elevation areas.So as to fully capture the fast growing advantage of eucalypt,and minimize the risk of cold damage,they made special silvicultural measures,highlighted new variety research
