| Abstract: | Spermatogenesis and spermiogenesis of Agrotis ypsilon were stutied with the modified Feulgensmear method.Eupyrene and apyrene sperm cyst and sperm bundle were quantitatively analysised at variousstages in tests.Different spermatogenesis and spermiogenesis periods were figured out.The eupyrene andapyrene lasted 15 and 7.5 days respectively.The former finished in pupa and the later in pre andpost-pupation.Each male adult produces 1.3 and 4.2 million sperms of eupyrene and apyrene respectively. |
