Abstract:In order to expand the cultivation media source of Pleurotus ostreatus and improve the utilization rate of tea branches,the study on the formula optimization of cultivating P. ostreatus with tea branch instead of sawdust, the analysis of the main nutritional components of P. ostreatus fruiting bodies, the economic benefits evaluation of cultivating P. ostreatus with tea branch and the quality and safety evaluation of P. ostreatus fruiting bodies were carried out. The results showed that the best formula for cultivating P. ostreatus with tea branches was, tea branch 30%, sawdust 45%, wheat bran 20%, lime 3%, gypsum 1%, phosphate fertilizer 1%. Compared with the P. ostreatus cultivated with pure sawdust, the contents of ash, protein, dietary fiber,crude polysaccharide and polyphenols in the fruiting body of P. ostreatus cultivated with pure sawdust increased by 28%,42.36%, 6.15%, 9.42% and 60.87%. The production cost of fungi bag was reduced by 23.3%, improved the economic benefits of cultivated P. ostreatus and the quality and safety of edible fungi. The results showed that tea branch was a good substrate for cultivating P. ostreatus.
