| Abstract: | Cordyceps militaris is a traditional medicinal and edible mushroom which is increasingly becomingpopular for consumption by huge masses in recent years. The biological characteristics, cultivation modes, cultivation facilities, and the strain selection of C. militaris, are summarized. Moreover, the industrial cultivation techniques of C. militaris, including spawn-making, substrate preparation, sterilization, inoculation, incubation, and fructification, are introduced. |
