Abstract:In order to explore the spatiotemporal pattern of vegetation net primary productivity(NPP)in Qilian Mountains and its relationship with climate change,based on the MOD17A3HGF,the temperature and precipitation raster dataset,this study calculated spatiotemporal variation of the vegetation NPP in Qilian Mountains from 2000 to 2015,and then used correlation analysis to study the response of vegetation NPP to temperature and precipitation.The results showed that,overall,the spatial distribution of multi-year average NPP value in Qilian Mountains gradually decreased from east to west during the past 16 years,which was consistent with the trend of hydrothermal distribution.The valley area of Huangshui River Basin had good hydrothermal conditions,so the mutil-year average NPP value could reach more than 600 gC·m-2·a-1;the central and western region was mainly deserts,bare rocks and glaciers,and the natural environment was poor,the mutil-year average NPP value was close to 0.Under the influence of temperature and precipitation,NPP in Qilian Mountains fluctuated and increased by 13.2%;the area that increased significantly and extremely significantly could reach 23%and 20%,which mainly distributed in Huangshui Valley and Lenglongling Mountain.The regions which significantly decreased and extremely significantly decreased were less than 1%.NPP was mainly positively correlated with temperature and precipitation,and the high value area that positively correlated with temperature was relatively large,which was related to the overall high altitude,low temperature and cold,the main limiting factors for plant growth of Qilian Mountains.
