Abstract:The experiment studied the effect of different net energy levels on growth performance,backfat thickness and lion-eye area of finishing pigs.420 danish three-way cross finishing pigs(38.5±0.5)kg were divided into five groups with six replicates in each group and 14 pigs in each replicates.The net energy levels of group A,B,C,D and E were 9.84,10.05,10.26,10.46 and 10.67 MJ/kg respectively.The pre-trial period was 7 d,and formal period was 97 d.The results showed that the daily feed intake of group A was significantly higher than that of group E(P<0.05).The feed-meat ratio of group A and B in 0~97 d was significantly higher than those of group D and E(P<0.05),and group A significantly higher than group C(P<0.05).The lion-eye area with average weight of 110 kg in group A was remarkably higher than group E(P<0.05),and the lion-eye area with average weight of 130 kg in group A and B was higher than group E(P<0.05).The backfat thickness with average weight of 110 kg in group A was remarkably higher than group D and E(P<0.05),and the backfat thickness with average weight of 130 kg in group A was higher than group D and E(P<0.05).The experiment indicated the diet with net energy of 9.84 MJ/kg could significantly increase the daily feed intake,lioneye area,and reduce the backfat thickness in the experiment.
