Abstract: | [Objective]To discuss the cutting propagation and cultivation technology of Plumbago zeylanica L. [Methods] The cutting, breeding, soil, fertilizer application and field management were researched. [Results]The branch age had little relationship with the survival rate. During the process of cutting,ABT rooting powder treatment was not needed for the branches. Survival rate had no significant correlation with the length of branches. The survival rate on loamy soil was 95%. Cutting period should be from June to August. The high soil maturation degree and fully decomposed organic fertilizer were helpful to the growth of P. zeylanica. Soil moisture should be paid special attention after cutting. Based on observation, the seedling stage of P. zeylanica was 20- 30 d after cutting; the optimal transplanting period was 20- 30 d after seed sowing. [Conclusions]The cultivated seedlings of P. zeylanica had significant and strong principal roots; the principal roots were10 cm in length with many fibrous roots(more than 15); the seedlings grew well with dark green leaves and strong stems. |
