| Abstract: | The grassland resource has been developed in Yanbian Prefecture by fencing, improving, air-seeding and planting during the last decade. There are 1175 thousand mu of artificial grassland, which epuals to 29.01% of the total area of cattle has increased form 157 thousand in 1981 to 330thousand in 1990. Nineteen commerical beef production bases were established, there are 2000 family farms specialilsed in beef production.
