Impact and Control of Lonicera japonica in America

Lonicera japonica is native to east Asia.After it had been introduced into America,it escaped from cultivation and became an invasive plant,causing distinct losses on environment and economy.In this paper,Its biological characteristic,multiplication,distribution and the threat it poses are introduced.The experiences in physical and chemical control of the species were summarized.Taking its aggressiveness into consideration,we can deduce that it is wiser to plant local honeysuckle species for cultivation in our country,especially in undisturbed area.
