On Ethic Alienation in the Process of Market Economy

The advent of the era of market economy has been promoting the rapid development of Chinese society, but at the same time, in an increasingly materialized society, people begin to earn their own interests at the loss of social morality. The emergence of the social moral alienation seriously affected the sustainable development of social economy, and distorted the aim of economic development under the socialist system. The authors argue that, to change this kind of ＂alienation＂, it is necessary make people understand the fact that ＂the social morality is a lever to measure the level of social devel- opment, and without social morality, social development will lose its meaning＂.
