甘肃白猪及其育种方法

甘肃白猪1988年育成并通过省内外专家鉴定验收,确认为一个具有一定种群数量,一定品系结构,遗传性稳定,生产性能优良的肉用型新品种。该品种已推广到全省大部分县、市生产应用,是农业发达地区生产商品瘦肉猪的理想亲本。本文通过对甘肃白猪培育结果和育种方法的总结,系统介绍了该品种的产地、分布、体型外貌、生长发育、繁殖性能、肥育性能、胴体品质、肉质和杂交利用;探讨了品种类群形成、育种程序、选种原则、选种方法、品系繁育、育种特点和种质特性,供教学、科研、生产部门应用。

Gansu White Pig and Its Breeding Methods

Gansu white pig has been bred up and checked and accepted in 1988. It is acknowledged as a new pork type breed in that it has a cer- tain amount of breed group, line structure, steady genetic feature and higher production level. This breed has now been populated in most parts of Gansu and is the ideal parents of the pork type pig production in the agricultural areas. In this paper, based on our experimental results, its breeding methods have been introduced systematically. The strategy for further improving its quality to meet the need of intensive pig produc- tion is presented.
