| Abstract: | Minor cereal crops play a very important role in the development of agriculture in Midwest China, especially in undeveloped
regions. They are one of the main resources of farmers income. This paper indicates that minor cereal crops production
and their industry possess advantages in regional resources, ecological benefit and economic efficiency. But at the same
time, the production conditions there are poor, overall planning is lacking, and production technology lags far behind. It
points out that attention must be paid to properly solve the relation between investment and extension in agriculture science
and technology for minor cereal crops and at the same time to ensure food security. |
