| Abstract: | Genetic studies on some important characters ( enlarged root, swollen stem, heading, 'tillering', leaf colour and leaf dissection) were rried out in P_1.P_2. F_1 F_2. B_1 and B_2 generations of Brassica juncea. The caresults showed that enlarged root and swollen stem were all quantitative characters.Inheritance of these two habits fittad well with additive and dominant effect gene model,at least they were controled respectively by more than two pairs of minor genes.The broad heritability ( H_(B~2)) of enlarged, root weight was 33.26%, the narrow heritability ( H_(B~2)) was 17.64%.H_(B~2) of swollen stem weight was 58%.It's H_(N~2) was 20%.The heading, Leaf colour and leaf dissection were qualitative characters, con-t oledby apair of nuclear gene, respectively.The enlarged root, swollen stem, heading, red leaf colour, entire leaf and'tillering'habits were all dominant characters.The 'tillering' was controled by a pair of nuclear major gene and minor cytogenes together. |
