| Abstract: | This review outlines the major commercial applications of the most widely used tree gum exudates,These are Gum Arabic,from Acacia senegal(L.)Willd;Gum Tragacanth,from Asiatic Astragalus species;Gum Karaya, from Sterculia species;and Gum Ghatti,from Anogeissus species.The applications listed involve pharmaceuticals,cosmetics,and technological applications in textiles,lithography,and other non-food industries. |
