| Abstract: | Six new serratene triterpenoids (1–6), together with nine known triterpenoid compounds were isolated from the extract of club moss Lycopodium japonicum. The structures of isolated compounds were established by spectroscopic methods. The cytotoxic activities of all compounds were evaluated against three human cancer cell lines in vitro by MTT assay. Compounds 2, 6–8 and 11 exhibited moderate activities against all three cell lines with IC50 values of 2.28–11.81 μg/mL. |
