Abstract:All the 16 possible genotypes of erucic acid in Brassica napus L. were developed from dialtel crosses of four homozygous lines eAeAecec, EaEaecvc , eAeAEcEc and EaEaEcEc. The fatty acid compositions of E_1 and F_2 generations were compared. It was shown that, there were highly significant differences of fatty acid compositions among genotypes with various number of alleles for erucic acid, and no deteclable differences among genotypes with equal number of alleles. No significant differences were detected between reciprocal crosses. There was no significant allelic difference within each the two loci Ea and Ec when the genotype of the other locus was eAeA or ecec. but there were significant differences in most cases when the genotype of the other locus was EAEA or EcEc.
