Abstract: | In 1985 severe bunt was encountered in a crop of wheat grown from organomercury-treated seed. Circumstantial evidence suggested that the soil had been contaminated by airborne spores of the fungus from a nearby crop which was being harvested at the same time as the affected crop was being sown. |
