| Abstract: | With food being taken as a key factor between land and population, and through logi-cal reasoning from land to food and to human being (society), the article deals with the de-velopment of the land and population system of Ningxia before 2000, and demonstrates thebalances of the land and population system of various districts of Ningxia considering theincrease of population in the future and supply of nutrients such as energy, protein and fatwith regard to their standard, minimum and maximum levels. The strategy to achieve thebalance by two steps is proposed, which will be of importance for regional exploitation ofland resources and comprehensive management of regional ecological environment. |
