| Abstract: | Based on the study of aesthetics and the developments of Garden in China and the West, this paper discusses the reasons for the difference between Chinese and western garden forms. Firstly,, the different approaches of understanding the world, i.e. different philosophies, lead China and the West to having different styles of gardens. Besides, China and the West have different comprehensions of aesthetics. |
