Abstract: | Cutaneous chlorellosis in a gazelle caused a chronic granulomatous inflammation in the subcutaneous tissue of the carpus. The diagnosis was based on the intense green color of the lesion and the presence of organisms identified as algae of the order Chlorellales. According to morphologic and ultrastructural features, the genus Bracteacoccus is most likely. |
