Study on the Performance and Role of Library as “the Third Space”

The theory and practice of “the Third Space” for library has drawn great attention in the field of library in recent years, and “the Third Space” movement is also on the rise, which has an important role and significance. This paper firstly outlined the meaning of “the Third Space”, and discussed the performance of “the Third Space”separately from equal, free, diversified, personalized and humanized library space, and finally illustrated the role of library as “the Third Space”, which gradually became another spiritual home for people.
