Abstract: | There was a significant reduction in the seed yield of S26 cocksfoot in the first harvest year following undersowing in oats. Yields were markedly improved, however, by the application of extra nitro-chalk in spring, by using a partial cover crop and by cutting the oats for silage. Over three harvest years the financial returns were very similar for all treatments studied. |
