| Abstract: | Diseases of the vitreous body in the dog and cat are reviewed. The anatomy, embryology and methods of examination of the vitreous are described. Congenital and acquired conditions are discussed, in particular relating to opacities within the vitreous, and a brief note on vitreous surgery is included. |
