高世代种子园营建研究的进展

摘    要:作者综述了国际林木育种界近十多年就高世代种子园组建理论提出的第一代种子园发展有所不同的新见解,以及在若干重要树种改良项目中设计和采用的方法。其内容包括各种育种群体的优缺点评价,高世代种子园的类别,组成材料的来源和选择方法,种子园的组成成分和设计原则等。

Abstract:One of strategy for forest tree improvement adopted universally by all countries in the world is on the basis of the theory of general combining ability to establish the open pollination seed orchard to produce genetecially improved seed which is used to build intensively managed plantations for high yield and high quality so as to attain the object of forest tree improvment.Two approaches are adopted to build a seed orchard.One is reverse selection,and the other is progressive selection.Now tree breeding is in the transition to advanced generation seed orchard.It is thought by people that both the reverse and progressive selections are of equal importance.The author focuses on the conception and types of advanced generation seed orchard,evaluation on such orchard,the seed orchards characteristic of reverse of progressive selection,kinds of materials and methods used to construct an advanced generation seed orchsrds,the principles limiting the interfamily and intrafamily selection,and believes that in constructing an advanced generation seed orchard,systematic design is better than the stochastic design.In the paper he also describes the design and methods adopted to improve the important tree species,including an evaluation on the advantages and disadvantages of various populations,the kinds of advanced generation seed orchards,the source of materials and the methods of selection,the components of the seed orchards and the designing principles.
