Current situation and development countermeasure of cotton straw utilization in Xinjiang

Xinjiang is the largest cotton producing area in China, and its planting area and output rank first in China. As the main by-product of cotton, cotton straw is an important agricultural renewable resource. How to use it reasonably and efficiently is an urgent problem to be solved. This article summarizes the resources status of Xinjiang cotton stalks, using methods and the existing problems, and puts forward the development direction and countermeasures, to improve the utilization rate of cotton stalks, increase cotton farmers income, promote the comprehensive utilization of cotton stalks diversification to provide the reference, at the same time in order to promote the Xinjiang cotton industry efficiency and sustainable development provides new ideas.
