| Abstract: | Over the years,several legislations were enacted in the worldwide to regulate the presence of ge - netically modified organisms ( GMOs ) in crops and foods.In order to keep up with these developments and meet the labeling requirements,a number of GMO detection methods have been developed in recent years.These methods main for detecting GMOs elements by the presence of the foreign DNA and its expressed proteins.This article presents an overview of the currently used detection methods,their potential and limitations. |
