Abstract:In order to understand the infection and molecular characteristics of Anaplasma spp.in some local breeds of sheep in Southern Xinjiang,a total of 100 blood DNA samples from five local breeds of sheep in Southern Xinjiang were detected by PCR,and the total infection rate of Anaplasma spp.was 67.0%(67/100).The highest infection rate of Anaplasma spp.was 100%(20/20)in Duolang sheep,while the lowest infection rate was 44.0%(11/25)in Hotan sheep.The infection rates of Anaplasma spp.in grazing and captive sheep were 74.0%(37/50)and 60.0%(30/50),respectively.Among 67 positive samples of Anaplasma spp.,65 positive samples were detected as A.ovis and 14 positive samples were detected as A.phagocytophilum,and 12 positive samples were A.ovis and A.phagocytophilum mixed infection.No A.bovis and A.capra were detected.Sequence analysis showed three genotypes in 65 A.ovis,including genotype AO1(n=40),genotype AO2(n=12)and genotype AO3(n=13);and three genotypes in 14 A.phagocytophilum,including genotype AP1(n=12),genotype Ap2(n=1)and genotype AP3(n=1).The results showed that the infection of Anaplasma spp.was common in sheep in Southern Xinjiang,and its detection and control should be strengthened.
