Abstract: | Based on molecular motion and turbulent diffusion, a mathematical model is presented to determine the relationships between the diffusion coefficient and different variables in a bubble aeration process. The different variables affecting the diffusion coefficient are rate of air flow, pressure, absolute temperature, and size of bubbles. Because of the turbulent nature of the rising bubble, Oz, and H2O molecules at the gas-liquid interface are ripped away instantaneously. Molecular diffusion plays an insignificant role in the process. |
