| Abstract: | P_2 insecticidal protein was isolated from the parasporal crystal of Bacillus thuringiemis var. kurstaki (HD-1) by DEAE-Sepharose column chromatography. It was first found out that the isolated P_2 insecticidal protein did not kill Spodoptera litura, but had low toxicity to Plutella xylostella, Manduca sexta and Bombyx mori, and high toxicity to Adoxophyes orana with LC_(50) up to 2.4ng/cm~2. The results also showed that the broad-spectrum insecticidal activity of crystal protein of HD-1 was mainly from P_1 insecticidal protein. |
