| Abstract: | This paper is a
general review of an approach concerning decision support in theproblem of selection cutting
planning of uneven-aged stand management.There are three stages in the development of this
approach:(1)to use linear programming to make optimization models with different objective
functions and constraints,(2) to make a computer-aided decision model composed of a
multi-objective optimization model,an adaptive growth model generator and man- machine
interfaces,and(3)to built a prototype decision support system for uneven-aged forest
management.The main task of this paper is only to present the modelling ideas and the
structure of the models used in this approach,most of the concrete methods and results have
already been presented in earlier papers. |
