Change of immunological function and CRP and its clinic significance in patients with gestational hypertension

Objective To observe the change of immunological function and C-reactive protein （CRP） in the patients with gestational hypertension （GH）. Methods T cell subsets, NK cells, and levels of IL-2, IL-4, IgA, IgG, IgM, and CRP from peripheral blood of 88 GH patients （mild, 62; severe, 26） and 60 normal pregnant women were detected by flow cytometry, ELISA, fully automatic biochemical analyzer and scattering turbidimetry, respectively. Results Compared with normal group, percentage of CD2, CD4, and NK cells, ratio of CD4/CD8, and level of IL-2 decreased, but IL-4 and CRP contents increased in GH group, especially in severe GH （P〈0.01 or 0.05）. IgA, IgG and IgM concentrations in GH group were significantly lower than those in normal group （P〈0.05）, but there were no statistical differences between mild and severe GH （P〉0.05）. Conclusion There is an obvious change of immune function. CRP can serve as an important indicator for judging the prognosis of gestational hypertension.
