西洋参引种试验初报

1984年引种加拿大产的西洋参种子0.680kg。经4年引种试验,结果表明西洋参在引种地生长良好,开花结果正常,子代小苗形态和生态习性无异常变化;皂甙、氨基酸和无机元素等含量与原产地美国和加拿大基本相同。试验取得初步成果。

A Preliminary Report on American Ginseng Planting Tests.

The seeds of Panax quinquefolium L. introduced from Canada, which weight 0.68kg, were sowed in Qingyuan Baishanzu of China in 1984. Four years' tests proved that American ginseng could grow well, blossom and fruit normally in Baishanzu; progeny seedlings were no abnormal in form and ecological characters; saponins, amino acids and inorganic elements that contained in the roots were basically identical with America and Canada.
