Review and Prospect of Maize Production in the World

Results from FAO statistical data showed that the effects of maize production had changed in the past 47 years on cereals yield in the world was biggest,its direct path coefficient was 0.375.The contribution of maize unit yield increased to the total production was up to 73% in the world.USA and China are two main maize-producing countries in the world,though the unit yield of China maize was improving constantly,the gap between China and USA continues to expand.The prospects for the development of the world's maize,and the future direction of China maize were also discussed in the paper.
