The Application of DGGE Technology in Polymorphism Analysis of Rumen Microorganisms

As the new electrophoretic technology to detect the nucleic variation and point mutation,the denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) with the advantages of reliable,high reappearance,easy and rapid can be used in the diversity and dynamics analyses of rumen microbes.The paper reviewed the principles and advantages of DGGE,applications in diversity and dynamics of rumen microbe colonies,and future developing perspectives to provide the basis for a better application of the technology.
