Thoughts on Developing Urban Forestry in An''''ning City

An'ning is a satellite city of Kunming. It is located at the southwest, and 32 km far from Kunming city. Heavy industry used to be the main industry of An'ning city, the pollution from industry develop, soil and water loss caused by mining, are the crucial status the city is now facing. The increasing population, the development of tourism all raise a requirement of developing urban forestry, so as to improve the life quality of the citizen. The advantages An'ning city hold to develop urban forestry, including favorable climatic condition, rich plant resources, government's commitment, smooth application of funds, sufficient foresters and technical support are discussed.
