Summary of National trial
for New Kenaf Varieties/Strains in 1999 |

| Abstract: | The second round of national trial for new kenaf varieties/strains in 1999-2000 was carried out in 9 places across 8 main kenaf production provinces.8 new varieties/strains which provided by IBFC and other institutes were tested. The variety BG-135 was used as the check. The fiber productivities of these varieties /strains were analyzed statistically. Several variation factors were studied with LSD. The parameters of stability and adaptability were also evaluated. And the agronomy characters, biological properties, stressresistance, fiber quality and growth period were analyzed and evaluated. |
