Design and application of air filtration system in multi-story pig farm

Land cost is increasing as a proportion of the total cost of intensive farming, especially in the context of urbanization. The whole pig industry is considering to improve the utilization rate of land, the spread of overall cost, and the increase of the average output of land per mu to yield (1 mu=667 meter square). On December 17, 2019, in the document of "Notice of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on Issues Concerning the Management of Facilities and Agricultural Land," the State Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Agriculture indicate that "breeding facilities are allowed to construct multi-story buildings" as a policy to support the raising of pigs in buildings. As a result, the air filtration systems for multi-story pig farms become an urgent issue to be solved. Based on the design and application experience for air filtration systems in pig farms in the past, this article provides a comprehensive study of the air filtration system scheme for multi-story pig-farms, and expounds the theoretical basis for its design. This article will also elaborate on its practical application issues and present ideas for establishing the standardization of air filtration systems for multi-story pig farms.
