Study on Cold Resistance Physiological Indexes of Maize in the Germinating Stage

In order to identify the index and method of resistance to cold of maize,four maize varieties（Zhengdan 958,Jidan 415,Liaodan 632 and Tiedan 18）were used to study their cold resistance in germinating stage.The seeds were cultivated in 27℃ for 12 h then treated under 5℃ and 10 ℃ for 3 d,and then in 27℃ for 3 d.The results showed the changes of electric conductivity,soluble sugar content,proline content could reflect the different low temperature tolerance,the differences of physiological index of different varieties in suitable temperature and recover temperature stage in 5℃ were significant,it could used as single index to identify the tolerance to cold of maize in germinating stage.
