摘    要:日本三桠种子完熟期的粒重、脂肪含量、膜结构完整性、存苗率、幼苗干重都达到最高值。完熟期为种子生理成熟点。果皮浅黄、质软、内果皮呈褐色膜质状,为种子成熟的表观指标。果实比容升至0.919/m,比重降至0.87均可作为种子成熟精确数量指标。日本三桠种子的后代,能提前建成强健发达根系是幼苗生长健壮的直接原因。

Abstract:The weight of seed per hundred, the fat content, the integration of cell membrane of seed, the survival rate and the dry weight of seedlings have all reached maximum value when the seed of Edgeworthia chrysantha Lindl. is in a state of complete ripening. The term of seed complete repening is defined as the seed in a state of phygiological maturation. The outer layer of fruit yellowish in color, texture soft and the inner membranous layer of fruit in brown color etc. are the reliabe indications of seed maturation. It is noted that the specific volume reached 0. 91g/ml and the specific gravity reduced to 0. 87, are considered to be the accurate quantitative indication of seed maturation. By collecting the seed of Edgeworthia in time of complete ripening, therefore, their progeny's seedlings may ahead develop a strong root system that is the direct cause.of the seedlings growing healthily and vigorously.
