猪栏复杂环境对断奶仔猪啃咬行为及其生产性能的影响

通过在猪栏内添加异物对断奶仔猪啃咬行为及其生产性能的影响进行了研究。试验分 3个组 :T1,对照组 (单调环境 ) ;T2 ,悬挂异物组 (在猪栏的一定高度上悬挂三角皮带 ) ;T3 ,地面异物组 (在猪栏内添加树枝 )。每个试验组包括长白和大白两个品种各两窝仔猪 ,共 72头仔猪。试验使用摄象机 ,采取即时性观察方法进行观察。记录每日的采食量和仔猪试验前后的体重以计算日增重和饲料效率。试验结果表明 ,在猪栏内放置异物增加环境复杂性 ,显著影响断奶仔猪的各种行为反应。添加异物不仅使仔猪花费大量的时间对异物进行探求和啃咬 ,还显著减少咬尾行为、咬耳行为、咬蹄行为和啃栏等。在猪栏内添加异物有利于提高断奶仔猪的日增重

The Influence of Environmental Enrichment on Biting Behavior and Performance in Weaned Piglets

An cxperiment was undertaken to investigate the effects of environmental enrichment on biting behavior and performance in weaned piglets.In the experiment,twelve litters,a total of 72 newly weaned heathy piglets(35-40 days),balanced for sex and body weight,were derived in Yorkshire(Y)and Large White(L)breeds and were divided into three treatments each of which includes 4 litters (2Y and 2L).The three treatments were:Treatment 1:control,no treatment.Treatment 2:the pens were supplied with triangle belts that were hanged on the bars.Treatment 3:the pens were supplied with a branch of a tree.Instantaneous Observation were deployed with a portable video camera.All the piglets were weighted at the beginning and the end of the experiments.Feed intake was recorded.The piglets in enriched pens spent more time in nosing and biting material provided compared with the control.Environmental enrichment reduced the incidence of some biting behaviors,such as tail-biting?ear-biting?biting floors and Walls.Environmental enrichment also increased daily gain and feed conversion efficiency.
