Active constituents of Eucommia ulmoides and application in livestock production and disease control

Eucommia ulmoides is not only rich in protein,vitamins,trace elements and fatty acids,but also contains lignans,iridoids,phenylpropanoids,flavonoids,polysaccharides and other bioactive components.These active ingredients not only play a role in promoting growth,improving immunity,improving antioxidant function,antibacterial function in livestock and poultry production,but also can prevent and control diseases,improve the quality of livestock and poultry products,and improve the economic benefits of breeding.In the paper,the active components of Eucommia ulmoides and its application in livestock production and disease control were discussed.
