南瓜新品种红栗的选育

为选育优质红皮西洋南瓜良种，以引进南瓜的分离后代中选育的自交系AK73为母本、18-562为父本进行杂交，于1998年育成优质、早熟、丰产南瓜新组合，经品比试验，多点中间试验和生产示范试验，结果表明：该组合全生育期92d，春季栽培果实发育期约32d，平均单瓜重1.2kg，产量27.t/hm^2左右；果实扁圆形，果皮深红色，果肉橙红色，平均肉厚3.1cm，质粉味甜；耐低温、高温，抗逆性较强，适应性广，2001年2月通过湖南省农作物品种审定委员会审定，定名“红栗”。

Breeding of Hongli,a New Winter Squash F1 Hybrid

Hongli is a new F 1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line AK73,the female parent and 18-562,the male parent,segregated from Japan and Taiwan winter squash(C.maxima) varieties.It has the following characteristics:92 days of growing period,32 days of fruit maturing period,1.2 kg of average fruit weight,about 27 t/hm2 of yield,disc-shaped fruits,red pericarp, orange flesh, 3.1 cm of flesh thickness,floury and sweet taste,tolerance to low temperature,high temperature and diseases.
