Genetical Studies on the oe Translucent Mutant in the Silkworm

The translucent mutant was found as a sponlaneous ocurrence in a European race "410" , and it is controlled by a single recessive gene. This mutant was named translucent E-410(gene symbol; oe). Linkage tests showed that the on gene was linked with white egg 2 (w-2) , which had been known to be located on the tenth chromosome.
