STUDY ON METHOD OF IDENTIFYING ADULTERATION OF IMPORTED FISH MEALS WITH AMINO-ACID ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES

The author has established a method for identifying adulterated fish meals by analyzing taurine, a specific amino-acid in fish meal. Amino-acid analysis is used to study the amino-acid compositions, characteristics and regularities of various commercial fish meals of different types originating from different countries as well as their processing techniques. The method can be used as methodological way and technical procedure both to determine whether the fish meals have been adulterated. The experimental method used for determining the adulteration of fish meals, analytical criteria, baseline parameters and verification method for the testing are systematically described in the paper. This method is a reliable testing method giving quality control/assurance for the identification of adulterated fish meal, it provides direct guide for the quality inspection of the imported fish meals, and has a practical value as well.
