| Abstract: | Risk assessments for the release of genetically modified (GM) plants into the environment are reviewed with focus on the spreading of transgenes to weedy species and the effect of the gene flow on the ecosystems;the safety of GM plants in food is reviewed based on the effects of the inserted foreign genes,marker genes,promoter sequences,left and right ends sequences of T-DNA and undesirable genes. |
