Development of mushroom containers to optimise the weight of compost per given volume of growing facility

Novel container shapes have been designed where the casing soil requirement has been reduced whilst total volume of compost per unit volume of growing space has been increased relative to the conventional methods of growing. Two trials with such assemblies have given improved yields per unit volume of growing facility of 35 and 60%.
