长白山区阔叶红松林采伐林隙种子库研究

摘    要:土壤种子库是森林植物种群动态和森林更新的一个重要环节,为森林植被恢复提供了重要的物质基础。该文通过对凋落物层和腐殖质层(0~10 cm)种子库取样并用物理挑选法进行分类,对长白山区阔叶红松林不同面积和年龄的采伐林隙内土壤种子库的特征进行研究。结果表明:阔叶红松林不同面积林隙内种子库的丰富度和种子密度存在较大差异;不同年龄林隙内种子库的丰富度差异不大,但种子密度差异显著;林隙内不同部位间种子库的丰富度和种子密度差异较大,且丰富度和种子密度分别主要由腐殖质层和凋落物层决定;红松和色木槭在林隙内外种子库中均占据主导地位,显示出红松有良好的更新潜力;随林隙形成时间的延长呈现出多样性增加但优势度下降的趋势;非林隙林分内土壤种子库的多样性和种子密度高于林隙,但优势度低于林隙;与非林隙相比,林隙内土壤种子库的物种组成与更新幼苗的相似性较低,且随着林隙形成时间的延长,种子库物种组成与幼苗的相似性越来越低。

Abstract:As an important mechanism for forest regeneration, soil seed bank is considered as a key sector for the potential plant population. Information about soil seed bank in logging gaps is still scarce although seed bank has been paid more and more attention in recent decades. In this study, the soil seed bank in logging gaps of different sizes and ages was studied in a broadleaved Korean pine mixed forest in Changbai Mountain, northeastern China. Nine samples (50 cm×50 cm) were taken from both litter fall layer and humus layer (0-10 cm) in each forest gap and the seeds were estimated by artificial collection method. The results showed that the species richness and density in the seed bank were different among forest gaps of different sizes and ages; the seed bank varied evidently in different sites within forest gaps with species richness being controlled by humus layer (0-10 cm) and species density by litter fall layer; the quantity of main species in the seed bank was different among forest gaps of different sizes and ages; the seeds of Pinus koraiensis and Acer mono were always dominant in forest gaps and non forest gaps, indicating that P. koraiensis had good potential during vegetation regeneration; the species diversity of seed bank had the maximum value in the forest gaps of 400-500 m2 in size and increased with forest gap ages; there were higher diversity and density but less dominance in non forest gaps than those in forest gaps. The similarity between seed bank and aboveground seedlings within forest gaps is lower and declines with forest gap ages.
